As the lead project sponsor, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) is one of Canada’s largest banks in terms of assets and market capitalization. It is one of North America’s leading diversified financial services companies.

The challenge of the Fund Sales Intelligence (FSI) project, led by these two major international players, was to create a platform that gives investment fund managers a better understanding of their fund’s management performance relative to benchmark industry indicators.

The software accepts a large number of connections and allows querying from a database of several million lines in a time and with limited resources.

The platform also provides access to the market and macro-economic data across 24 countries that distribute UCITS (Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities).

This ambitious project was developed over two years, and was commercialized by the Royal Bank of Canada at the end of 2016.
